Rocky Mountain Foil
Chapman is an affiliate of Lift Efoils. Foils are a space age surfboard that uses a wing and hydrodynamics to create lift, pushing the board and rider out of the water. The smooth effortless glide above the water creates a feeling of flight that is exhilarating. It is a sport that nearly anyone can pick up and enjoy. Chapman does 1 on 1 lessons teaching clients the fundamentals while safely letting them progress to flight within 90 minutes. A great experience during you stay at the lodge, creating a memory that will last a lifetime. The demo costs is $260 and can be split between two people. Snowmobiling
The True North Lodge is a snowmobilers paradise! Routt county is known as one of the best destinations for sledding in the country, with a very large trail network that surrounds the Lodge. The ability to park your trailer at the lodge and ride out the front door, adds a level of ease that is unprecedented. Go when you want, not when you need to. Groomed trails interconnect the area, allowing you to get into the deep stuff quick, without miles of whoops. We recommend you bring your phone and use apps like Fat Map or Onyx to track where you are and limit the chance of getting lost. Get to Wyoming or the top of the continental divide with ease! As always, bring avalanche safety gear and have a plan on where you plan to adventure. If you don't have a sled and would prefer a guided expedition, the Roadhouse down the street can facilitate your needs
Fishing
Sitting within Steamboat Lake State Park located just north of Steamboat Springs this 1,060-acre still water offers fantastic fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout. Hahn’s peak fills the backdrop over this beautiful lake. Designated as Gold Medal Water by the Colorado Parks and Recreation she is one of only 3 still waters in the state that has earned that title. With an elevation of 8,025 feet, this lake is an ideal place for big trout. With a number of small streams filling the lake there are plenty of bays and channels to keep you busy.
Hunting
Routt County is known for its abundant wildlife. Big bull Elk roam the surrounding National forests and ranches. There are a number of professional outfitters in the area, and over the counter tags can be purchased at the nearby Department of Wildlife office.
